Learn to work multiple contrasting colors into your knitting by knitting strands vertically through your fabric. Combine it with horizontal fair isle stripes, and you have a convincing knitted twill plaid. In class you’ll learn the Eye of Partridge slip stitch patterning. Then, learn how to manage the vertical strands and introduce the fair isle bits. Once you learn the yarn-management tips and a wee bit of math, the execution of the technique is very fun and not at all difficult. After class, you’ll be able to apply the technique to hats, sweaters, mitts, anything knit in the round.
